Are you aware of the unimaginable reality that is yours as a born-again person?

Do you know what explosive and life-changing powers you carry inside of you?

Paul says that the life we have in our spiritual communion with Christ is something "hidden". In several other places he calls this a "mystery" - a secret.

Indeed it is the greatest of all secrets.

What does that mean?

It is something that is beyond our natural intellect and its ability to understand things, because it is a spiritual reality.

We can have this reality, revealed, made real, to us through the Holy Spirit, so that it is no longer a distant, unattainable dream, but something we can put into practice in our everyday lives.

But the realization of a spiritual reality is not something that suddenly falls upon us and then we know what it’s all about.

We cannot sit idly by and long for it to happen, but we must focus all our attention in an intense search to get hold of what we have really been given in the miracle of the new birth.

The Holy Spirit burns with an intense, eager desire in us to lead us to an ever clearer understanding of what the spiritual life means and to help us put it into practice in our everyday lives.

Our responsibility is to respond to the promptings of the Spirit, so that His burning desire becomes the most powerful passion of our life, something that drives us to an ever clearer understanding of what we have been given, so that we can live it practically among the people we meet daily.

This also involves a violent struggle against all the forces that do everything to prevent it from coming to fruition.

But if we know the tremendous powers we carry in our spirit and the spiritual weapons at our disposal, Christ, who is our life, can be manifest in glory already here and now.

Do you know this?
