The powerful teaching of Romans concerning redemption and justification into the God-intended life in the Spirit for man, culminates in a description of the crucial importance of our natural psycho-physical life, in which the spiritual life is to be manifested.

The revelation of the Bible is that the visible, physical creation has its origin in and is a manifestation of the invisible, spiritual Reality.

This means that our physical bodies are fundamentally and essentially spiritual, created to be a

dwelling-place for God to manifest His divine glory in the visible creation and to fulfil His eternal purposes through them.

We are saved to live a life of victory over the destructive forces and influences of sin in this fallen, demon-infested world, just like our Lord Jesus Christ, the only true man ever, who lived a life of complete victory over sin.

The key to living such a life is to have a proper understanding of our bodies: they are fundamentally spiritual and meant for a life of holiness in the Holy Spirit.

The honour of Jesus Christ is at stake in our bodily life.

The incarnation is God´s demonstration of His original purpose for the physical life of man: God Himself invades the human body with his Spirit to separate and sanctify it from all the destructive forces of this fallen world in order to ultimately glorify it.

This demonstrates the incredible greatness and sanctity of the physical.
