FELLOWSHIP
"What we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. Beloved, let’s love one another; for love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love."
The Christian life is essentially a fellowship of love.
It´s a threefold fellowship.
A fellowship with the Father and with the Son and then with all other believers in the Holy Spirit, in God’s Love.
There is no such thing as a ‘private’ Christian life.
You simply cannot live the spiritual life on your own.
The Christian life is a life of dependence.
First and foremost, a dependence on God, but also a dependence on all of God’s children in the bosom of the Father.
Jesus died to bring us into the bosom of the Father.
There we come to know God as the Father-Mother-God and become secure and safe in his strong fatherly love and are saturated and satisfied in the depths of our being by his intimate motherly love.
It is also there that we spend time with the Son and get to know Him.
He does not exist anywhere else than in the bosom of the Father.
There He was loved as Son before the foundation of the world and there He lives as Son forever.
And there we unite with the Son in a deep personal love and become one spirit with Him.
That is how we are transformed into His wonderfully beautiful image.
That metamorphosis can only take place in the bosom of the Father.
When we “pray in the Holy Spirit” we are drawn ever deeper into this process of transformation of God's love in the bosom of the Father.
It is also there that we discover all our brothers and sisters in God's great family, all who undergo the same powerful process of transformation as we do.
The church was born in a baptism into the Father's love and only those who live in the bosom of the Father belong to it.
There we become His children of love who love Him and thus also each other.
Only those who love are sons and daughters, like the eternal Son.
Those who do not love do not know God, are not born of Him.
It is not possible to be born of God and not live in a fellowship of love with all others who are born of Him.
Are you living in this fellowship of love?
