There has always been a conflict between truth and falsehood, and there have always been false prophets and teachers.

But both Jesus and all the New Testament writers warn that this conflict will intensify in the end times and that more and more false prophets and ”christs” will appear to deceive and mislead.

“If possible, even the elect”: an incredibly shocking statement!

Therefore, it is more important than ever that we love the truth and seek it above all else.

We should not seek experiences, nor signs and wonders.

Then we can easily be misled and seduced.

Satan is an expert at copying!

There is a dangerous power in lies – an infernal ability to deceive.

More than ever, God’s people need sound and basic Bible teaching that lays a firm and clear foundation so that we are not like immature “children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,  but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ” (Eph.4:14-15).

But if we do not know the truth, how can we “speak” it?

Therefore, it is absolutely crucial that God’s people be properly “rooted and built up in Christ and established in the faith” through a teaching that leads “to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself.” (Col.2:7, 2)

Jesus Christ is the Truth.

Everything we need to become mature and stable believers is found in Him.

Therefore, it is more important than ever to have Christ-centred preaching and teaching that creates Christ-centred believers.

The end-time Church must consist of such in order to endure!
