This devotional is going to be a little different!

I want to share some Bible verses that I have read and pondered daily for many years to become aware of my spirit—my inner self.

Perhaps these words can also help you develop a strong spirit-consciousness. You might, for example, write them down in a small notebook that you can carry with you and review from time to time.

”May the Father grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man” (Eph.3:16)

”God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.” (Jn.4:24)

”That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (Jn.3:6)

”You did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” (Rom.8:15-16)

”The Lord stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.” (Zech.12:1)

”With my soul I have desired You in the night, yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early;” (Is.26:9)

“My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour.” (Luk.1:46-47)

”I serve God in my spirit in the preaching of the Gospel of His Son.” (Rom.1:9)

”He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.” (1 Cor.6:17)

”We have the same spirit of faith, (as Christ who said:) “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak” (2 Cor.4:13)

”Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.” (2 Cor.4:16)
