Daily Word

(Psalm 27:10):

“I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am like an owl of the desert. I lie awake, and am like a sparrow alone on the housetop. My enemies reproach me all day long;”

(Psalm 102:6-8)

If you follow the law of least resistance, you will never become a sanctified person.

You will always choose the easy way.

Never the way of sanctification.

The way of sanctification is difficult.

You must force yourself forward even when everything seems to be against you.

When everyone seems to have left you.

And those you trusted betray you.

When all hell seems to rise up against you.

And everything is dark, heavy and miserable.

You feel totally alone and abandoned.

Your whole being, your thoughts, your emotions and your body are screaming.

And your will screams: “give up!”

Then you must refuse to give up and keep going forward in the headwind.

Otherwise, you will never become a person who walks in the spirit.

If you are to be sanctified, you must make an uncompromising and irrevocable surrender of your entire life to Jesus Christ.

You must decide to obey Him always.

Whatever He asks of you.

No matter how hard it is.

Never let Him down.

Even if everyone else lets you down.

There is a part of the path of sanctification where we must walk totally alone.

Alone with Jesus.

Only then will He become our everything.

And we will become completely His.

That is the goal of sanctification!
