A word of encouragement for your day.
ALMIGHTY!
"It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. The greatest is love."
Four is the number of the earth and of creation.
The fourfold "always" of Love describes God’s all-powerful Love as a force that completely fulfils its purpose here on earth.
Love cannot fail, for it never falters and does not give up until it has achieved its purpose.
God is Love—God is all-powerful—Love is all-powerful!
This all-powerful Love of God has been poured into your heart and mine, so that we may serve as His instruments in realizing His purposes for the people we encounter.
"Love always protects – bears, endures, and covers all things."
The word implies building a roof overhead—ensuring no water leaks in—and quietly covering something over to conceal and protect.
Love does not gleefully expose the weaknesses and mistakes of others; rather, it covers them to protect the individual. It can look past behaviour to its underlying cause, empathize with the person in question, and patiently carry them—on the loving arms of prayer—to the One who alone can provide a remedy for their problems.
”Love always trusts.”
Faith and Love originate from one and the same eternal Source.
Love is the sustaining power of faith—it renders faith all-powerful, for it never ceases to believe, no matter how impossible a situation may appear: “everything is possible for the one who believes.”
”Love always hopes.”
God entrusts people to us. How often do we cast them into the wastebasket, thinking: “What a hopeless, impossible person!” For Love, there are no hopeless cases. God never gives up—and those driven by His Love never give up either, no matter how impossible or hopeless a person may seem—and in the end…
”Love always perseveres.”
Imagine being able not just to “put up with” “silly” and difficult people, but actually to love them as well!
But it is also a matter of ourselves—love gives us the strength and the capacity to persevere, patiently and calmly, whatever hardships and adversities we may have to face, without sulking or complaining. We know that our Father loves us and desires only our best, and we love Him and refuse to accuse or distrust Him.
”We also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Rom.5:3-5)
Love is almighty: ”The greatest is Love!”
