Daily Word

The Holy Spirit is God's creative power and in regeneration He forms the holy Son of God in us.

It is now our task to take care of this holy child, feed and nurture it, so that it grows up into a mature person and can live out all that it is in and through us.

Jesus has an intense hunger and thirst for the Word and wants to draw His spiritual nourishment from God's teaching by meditating on it day and night, so that He can drink in the Spirit that is in the Word and become like a tree planted by streams of water, always healthy and green and fruitful.

Can He do that in you and me?

His innermost longing is to always be in His Father's house and live in intimate loving communion with Him in order to become completely one with His Father's will. Then He can "grow in wisdom, in age, and in favour with God and men" to complete the plans and purposes of the Father for His life and glorify Him through all He does.

Do you and I make this possible for Him?

We must come to a point where our personal lives and circumstances, whether good or bad, pleasant or unpleasant, do not matter to us at all. The only reason we exist is to let Jesus Christ be revealed in us and perform the works He wants to do through us, to the satisfaction of His heavenly Father.

Christ himself is the reason, secret and goal of the Christian life.
