Attraction is an important law in our life as humans.

It has four components: attraction, satisfaction, influence and formation.

We give our time and energy to the things that attract us.

Therefore, we must be extremely careful about what we allow to attract our attention, because it will exert a strong influence on us and shape our lives.

Man constantly seeks satisfaction in a variety of ways, hunts for excitement and new experiences, and is therefore attracted to what he believes will meet this basic need.

The devil is well aware of this fact and managed with his cunning to create a strong attraction in Eve to that which led her away from her destiny.

The same danger lurks for us, and Paul warns: “I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.”

“The eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor is the ear filled with hearing,” we read in Ecclesiastes 1:8, and all advertising is based on this fact.

Ecclesiastes calls this “vanity and striving after wind”, because all earthly satisfaction is temporary and fleeting, since no one and nothing can satisfy our deepest need except He who created us.

Christ is the goal of our life and the only thing that can truly satisfy us is to be transformed into his likeness.

The Spirit is constantly drawing us to Him, but if we do not firmly weed out the thousand and one other attractions that peck at our attention and time, the desire for Christ will never be the dominant driving force, and the Word and Spirit of God will not be what influences and shapes us more than anything else.

We must "put away everything that hinders and entangles us and run with endurance the race that is set before us, with our eyes firmly fixed on Jesus."
