THE CHALLENGE
"The LORD called Me from the womb, from the body of My mother He named Me. He has made My mouth like a sharp sword, in the shadow of His hand He has concealed Me; and He has also made Me a sharpened arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver. He said to Me, “You are My Servant in whom I will show My glory."
There is a “Mount Everest” in the life of every man and woman, the supreme goal and purpose for which you were born and saved, the reason for your existence.
If you miss it, your life was in vain, if you reach it, all the difficulties and sufferings you had to go through to get there were more than worthwhile.
Most of us choose to settle down on a lower level.
By doing so we become “lukewarm” and loose the cutting edge of our life and ministry.
Paul was gripped by Christ and his whole life was a race towards the high purpose of his calling.
Because of that, he could say at the end of his life: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
Life is a challenging battle for the high purpose of our life.
Most of us don´t like to fight, but he who refuses to fight never wins.
Seven times in the last book of the Bible the Spirit of God challenges us: “He who overcomes will…”
Moses chose “rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the temporary pleasures of sin, considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward.” (Heb.11:25-26)
