‘ABSOLUTE’ LIFE
"As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. ...the living Father.."
What does it mean that the Father is "living "?
Exactly the same as Jesus says in John 4:24: "God is spirit."
Spirit is ‘absolute life’, indestructible life, God's own life: "eternal life."
The Father is the Origin of all life, the Son is the Fountainhead and Manifestation of Life.
"... I live because of the Father, .." – The Son is the Father's eternal and perfect Manifestation: all that the Father is, the Son is too.
Through the Incarnation, this life has been revealed and manifested in flesh and blood: “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
"Glory" is the characteristic of the life of the Spirit and expresses the beauty of a whole and complete person.
The Son is the Spirit-man, the Genuine Man, "the most handsome of the sons of mankind", all that the Father from eternity intended for man created in the image of God to be.
The Son became man to impart this life to fallen men.
Through the atonement, His death, resurrection and the outpouring of the Spirit, He became ‘edible’ to us: "...he who eats Me will live because of Me."
All that the Son is and has made available to us through the atonement, the Spirit conveys to us through the Word.
When the Spirit makes the Word of God alive to us, we "eat" the Son, the Word of God.
Then we become partakers of "eternal life" and become alive in the absolute sense.
Spirit is ‘absolute’ life, body and soul is life come into existence.
