LIVE!

"Christ is our life."
— Colossians 3:4

Do not try to live the Christian life—live it!

Christ is your life—simply let Him live His life through you every day, in all your changing circumstances.

Do not try to sense whether He is with you—He is with you—indeed, even better: He is *in* you!

A person suffering from deep depression is gripped by existential anxiety and doubts everything—even his own existence.

But a healthy person simply lives, without even giving it a thought.

If you are spiritually healthy, you simply live, grateful for every moment of your new life. You live in Christ, and He in you. You breathe in the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit constantly permeates you and shapes everything you do.

Do not try to understand the Bible to begin with.

Simply drink in every word, just as a small child drinks in mother’s milk, and eventually you will notice, to your surprise, that you actually understand what you are reading. A hunger for God’s Word awakens within you, and you simply want more and more.

You have been given spiritual senses, and as you live in grateful, daily prayerful communion with Christ, your spiritual senses grow ever sharper and your understanding of the Word ever deeper.

How should I pray?

You do not know—but the Holy Spirit prays constantly within you. Tune in to the Spirit’s deep sighs within you, and step by step, you will develop a powerful prayer life.

At first, you constantly pray for the Spirit’s guidance so that God’s will may be done in your life, but eventually, you no longer need to do so. You *are* God’s will—and the Spirit is at work in everything you do.

Do not try—simply live!
