A word of encouragement for your day.
TRANSFORMED!
"With my soul I have desired You in the night, yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early; But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. But we all, with unveiled face, reflecting as a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, by the Lord, the Spirit."
What happens when we thirst for God with our whole being, reach out for Him with our spirit and begin to “see” Him with the eyes of our spirit?
We receive a revelation of His “glory”—of the unimaginably wonderful and beautiful person He is —a revelation in our spirit.
What does this lead to?
A deep love for Him.
What does that lead to?
We just want to see more and more of Him and are thus drawn deeper and deeper into Him, into His presence, into the “holy of holies.”
What happens then?
We become united with the Lord in a deep and intimate union of love: “one spirit with Him.”
What happens next?
The greatest and most wonderful thing that can happen to a human being: a metamorphosis begins
to take place, a transformation from the inside out of our entire being.
What does this lead to?
We begin to reflect Him, to mirror Him: His “glory” begins to appear in our person, in our face.
This is the most powerful and important work of the Spirit of God, the deepest reason why we have received the Holy Spirit.
He has only one purpose and goal: to make the beloved Son visible in your life and mine.
Is this your deepest and most heartfelt longing, your life-thirst: that which grips your entire being and drives you into the holy of holies, into the presence of God, to see more of Christ and be permeated by His life-transforming Spirit-power?
