THE MOST TERRIBLE
"The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; who can understand it? You men who are stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears are always resisting the Holy Spirit; you are doing just as your fathers did. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and follow My ordinances."
What is the most terrible and deceitful there is?
The devil?
No!
Sin?
No!
Hell?
No!
So, what is it?
You!
Fallen man with his god-hostile, stiff-necked rebellious and disobedient heart!
Why is this so?
Without the heart of man, sin has no residence, no possibility to pervert and destroy, and the devil has no tool with which to implement his infernal purposes.
Without it there is no hell for man, only for the devil and his angels.
Therefore, man has to undergo a heart transplant.
He must receive a completely new heart, a new centre of life, with a new spirit, a completely new driving force: The Holy Spirit of God.
This is the miracle and absolute necessity of the new birth.
When that has taken place, sin has no more residence, the devil no tool any longer, and the jaws of hell stand open no more for man.
Now, the Spirit of God dwells in the human heart and man has become a tool for the implementation of the wonderful purposes of God for humanity and creation and he is on the way to a world that cannot be described with human words.
