THE MANIFESTATION AND TRIUMPH OF LIFE
"The life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Fatherand was manifested to us."
"The life was manifested" - one of the most amazing statements of the Bible!
Life is a Person.
That Person is the Eternal Son of God, revealed in Jesus Christ in flesh and blood.
When we know Jesus Christ, we know the deepest secret and reality of life itself, and when we have Him, we have indestructible life: "eternal life" - the life of God Himself, the Creator of the Universe, Maker of everything that exists.
Spirit is Life - body and soul live.
Spirit is Person - soul and body express the person.
The devil is complete anti-person: darkness, hatred, pride, deception, unimaginable wickedness and depravity.
He hates the Person of God and man created in His image to be an expression of the beautiful Person of God, Jesus Christ.
Therefore, he does everything he can to pervert and destroy it, because he knows that a mutilated person is his victim.
Jesus Christ, "the Son of God appeared to destroy the works of the devil", to break his hold on mankind, redeem and restore man to be a full and complete person, reflecting Him, the Image of the invisible God.
Through His death and resurrection "our Saviour Christ Jesus abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel" (2 Tim.1:10).
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the final and eternal victory of the Spirit-Person over the destructive powers of sin, death and hell.
Made alive, raised up and seated with Him in the heavenly places, we are recreated to complete persons like Him – this is the triumph of Life!
