COMPLETE VICTORY – FULL JOY
"These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full."
Jesus speaks about His joy as being full/perfect – what does He mean?
His perfect joy was the result of His complete victory.
What did it imply?
He was subjected to all the temptations and trials that that meet all people, and beyond that to such violent battle and trials that no man either before or after Him has ever had to go through.
In all of this He kept His unique personality unharmed and complete, because He never compromised with any temptations, offers or threats either from men or the powers of darkness, but always remained in hundred percent obedience of love to His heavenly Father and submitted to Him in everything.
That also meant that He fulfilled the special call and task He had been given to 100% without deviating from it even an inch regardless of the cost to Him personally (Heb.12:3).
Jesus says that the same incredible joy of victory can be ours!
How can that become possible?
The whole teaching of John 15 deals with that.
If we live in uninterrupted communion of life with Jesus, His mighty Spirit of victory flows into us and make as invincible conquerors as Him.
You are also created with a unique personality and called to fulfil a special task in the history of mankind. Therefore, the powers of darkness do all they can to harm you as a person and make it impossible for you to fulfil your calling and mission.
But if you live in uncompromising obedience of love for Jesus through the Holy Spirit, always being submitted to Him, your unique personality will be healed from all harm and developed to its full potential. His powerful love will propel you forward to fulfil your calling and mission without deviating from it, no matter what people around you say or what it costs you personally.
That is perfect joy!
